Hit & Run

A hit and run accident can be very scary, even if you aren’t hurt. Leaving the scene of the accident is a crime.

If you are hurt, it is most important to call 9-1-1 and get immediate medical attention.

If you are not hurt and find yourself in the position of a victim of a hit and run accident, immediately call 9-1-1 and report the accident. Provide any information you may have seen to the police officer that arrives on scene, such as the license plate number, color and style of the car, even if it is just partial. Be sure to get the accident report number from the police officer so your insurance carrier can try and retrieve the damages from the other car’s insurance company.
